Mark Skierkiewicz said that he expected the UL limit to be “close” to the same charge limit set by the IEC. He explained that they use a science-based approach to what the charge limit would be.

Mark Skierkiewicz

 

Mark is a Staff Engineer at UL with over 11 years’ experience with a background in evaluating/investigating heat pump, air conditioning, ventilation, and process cooling products for domestic and international markets. Mark also has knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory standards and approval requirements. He is a Member of ASHRAE and participates in ASHRAE Low GWP. MTG and TC5.10. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
