Stanislav Stokov from the Estonian Environmental Research Centre outlined a project that his organisation is running together with the Danish Technology Institute to support the transition to natural refrigerants as alternatives to HFCs and HFOs.

About the speaker(s)

Stanislav Stokov

Stanislav has a Master´s degree in Thermal Power engineering (Tallinn University of Technology, 2016). He joined the Estonian Environmental Research Center in 2015, currently working as the Energy expert (incuding Transportation) compiling greenhouse gas inventories and projections. He is also managing the first F-gas alternative project in Estonia.
The aim of the project is to ensure Estonia´s smooth transition from ozone depleting substances and F-gases to alternative refrigerants and technologies (carbon dioxide, ammonia and hydrocarbons) and low GWP F-gases, taking into account the requirements of Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on fluorinated greenhouse gases.
