Rita Tedesco from ECOS urged conference participants to get involved in the standardisation process because they can make a difference in shaping regulations governing hydrocarbons.

Rita Tedesco is Programme Manager at the Environmental Citizens’ Organisation for Standardisation (ECOS) where she is responsible for standardisation work on natural refrigerants, but also on smart energy grids and electro-mobility. Rita joined ECOS in April 2018 and has been working on a number of environmental standardisation issues in CEN/CENELEC and ISO/IEC. Prior to that, Rita worked in the NGO Transport & Environment where she undertook policy and technical research on biofuels and renewable energy alternatives. She holds a MA degree in International Relations and Environmental Studies from the Free University of Brussels.
