Michael Matthias introduced Sanden international Europe’s first car available on the market equipped with R744 mobile air-conditioning. He highlighted the company’s future plan to apply this technology to electric cars, where CO2 as a refrigerant offers significant competitive advantages in terms of energy efficiency and allows an increased driving range  by up to 38%.

Michael Matthias

 

Mr. Michael Matthias is heading the technical centre Europe in Bad Nauheim, Germany since 2012.

Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Matthias was leading the advanced product management department for the development and commercialization of new environmentally friendly product lines.

Mr. Matthias holds an engineering degree for car engineering from HAW Hamburg, University for applied Sciences and an MBA from Henley Management College.

Former to his career at Sanden of Europe, Mr. Matthias hold several positions in Sales, Project Management and Engineering at Visteon and Ford Motor company.
