Sascha Hellmann

 

Sascha Hellmann grew up in the refrigeration business in his father’s company. He joined “Linde Kältetechnik” in 1999 as a trainee for refrigeration plant mechanic. He worked for several years as a service technician for commercial refrigeration (HFC refrigerants), then spent years in the industrial department on ammonia systems. In 2006 he graduated as a “Master Craftsman for Refrigeration Systems” - the highest skill level of a professional technician in Germany, and in 2010 obtained a diploma in Mechanical Engineering in Refrigeration System Technology.

In 2010 he began working in the Carrier Research & Design Center for commercial refrigeration as a Development Engineer for mechanical systems. Since 2013, he has held a position as a Project Leader for mechanical systems, mainly responsible for natural refrigerants such as CO2 or hydrocarbons, and increasing energy efficiency of transcritical CO2 systems.
