Emerson’s presentation highlighted the company’s latest developments in the field of CO2 refrigeration including Emerson controls designed to improve CO2 system pressure stability. The optimisation of CO2 system pressure is achieved by improving flash tank pressure stability, evaporator pressure / temperature stability, system suction pressure stability and higher suction pressures. In addition, advanced high-pressure controllers help maintain sub cooling in condensers in subcritical mode, create pressure drop into the flash tank and optimise COP during transcritical operations.
