Michael Miranda of boostHEAT presented a new type of residential CO₂ heat pump which is fuelled by natural gas. The new renewable heating and cooling system for water was technically detailed and the potential applications were highlighted.

Before joining boostHEAT, Michael held positions at some of the leading organisations in the United States, in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy. He received a Master of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
