In his third presentation, Torben Hansen expressed the need for supermarkets to look to compact energy systems, taking into account overall building energy efficiency rather than just costs. Hansen urged attendees to consider the carbon footprint of their natural refrigerant solutions in terms of integrating all aspects into the whole building system.

Torben M. Hansen

 

Torben M. Hansen has worked with refrigeration during his entire professional career. Among the merits is an ASHRAE research project as well as more than 30 published international papers on refrigeration and former CDIG board membership. He is the Director and Cofounder of ADVANSOR A/S, a manufacturer of CO2 refrigeration and heat pump technology. Since November 2011, Advansor was acquired by Hill Phoenix (US) and Torben Hansen is thrilled with the new commitments in making COa global commercial technology.
