Trainer for Hillphoenix’s Learning Center since its inception nine years ago, Rusty Walker outlined some of the challenges when conducting contractor training including myths and misconceptions regarding safety, system pressure and transcritical CO2 vs subcritical CO2 systems. Walker also touched on the future outlook for training including online opportunities, Youtube, and trade schools to train the next generation of engineers and technicians.

Rusty Walker

 

Rusty Walker is the trainer for the Hillphoenix Learning Center and has held that position since the Learning Center’s inception over nine years ago. In his tenure at Hillphoenix, Rusty has also managed the Research and Development lab in the Refrigeration Systems division, worked in engineering and completed field work. Prior to Hillphoenix, he also held positions with Atlanta Energy Specialist, Bohn and Heatcraft as a Service Technician. Rusty has dedicated his entire career to commercial and supermarket refrigeration, and all his experience and expertise make him a natural fit for his current position as a Senior Corporate Trainer.
