Reggie O’Donoghue of Emerson spoke of the virtues of CO2 transcritical systems and the advantages that the use of electronic controls in a CO2 booster system can bring. O'Donoghue identified the benefits by comparing the controls for a booster system to mechanical controls in terms of managing gas cooler transition and the maintenance of flash tank pressure.

Reggie O’Donoghue is the Director of Electronics Product Management at Emerson Climate Technologies Retail Solutions in Kennesaw, Georgia. Prior to his current role, Reggie was the Director of Marketing and Enterprise Product Management at Retail Solutions. Reggie has been with Emerson seven years and started as a strategic planner at Emerson’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. Prior to joining Emerson, Reggie held a variety of engineering and marketing roles at Motorola.
