As part of its corporate sustainability initiatives, Yokorei chose Mayekawa’s NewTonR-3000 units for its Yumeshima Logistics Center in light of the initial, operating and 20-year life cycle costs. The cold storage facility has seen a 38% reduction in power consumption compared to a similar-sized logistics center, while the company has also implemented solar panels and LED lighting in a number of its 43 facilities.

Hiroji Takeda

 

Hiroji Takeda has over 20 years of experience in freezing and cold storage, starting at the Nagasaki Freezing Factory in 1993 and moving to Sasebo Freezing Factory in 1997. In 2003, he moved to Fukuoaka Logistics center before moving to Cold Storage Headquarters as a senior engineer in 2012. He served as a technical supervisor for THAI YOKOREI from 2013-2014, before resuming his position of senior engineer at Cold Storage Headquarters.
