The presentation compared Patine Leisure’s commercialised NH3/CO2 ice rink system to two R22 (direct and glycol) ice skating rinks, with power consumption reductions at all three of its rinks in Japan. The company’s flagship installation in Saitama, Japan has a 10-year payback period, with solar power generation offsetting approximately 90% of energy consumption.
