With over 30 top-level speakers already confirmed, 2 complete end-user sessions and a 10-point action plan to be discussed during the event, ATMOsphere Europe 2011 comes this year with some new features to explore. In addition, it is very timely as the European Commission is expected to publish its assessment report on the F-Gases right before and their experts will be present to discuss next steps.

We have been working hard over the last weeks putting the final touches to the programme. We can now confirm over 30 speakers including government representatives, end-users working with natural refrigerants as well as leading innovative technology suppliers. Why come to ATMOsphere Europe 2011?

1. Timing and context:

ATMOsphere Europe comes with perfect timing for the next round of discussions regarding F-Gases. The European Commission is expected to publish its assessment report on the F-Gas Regulation and open a public consultation just before ATMOsphere Europe 2011. We will have several representatives from the European Commission speaking and attending at our event to discuss next steps.

With this in mind the focus for our ATMOsphere workshop this year is Europe, Europe, Europe. Not only will we talk about latest developments with regards to F-Gases, EcoDesign and the Kyoto protocol but also about technology innovations from Europe, market trends for Europe and future plans of leading end-users in Europe.

2. End-users

This year we will have two end-users panels and speakers sharing with us their experience both positive and negative with regards to natural refrigerants. We have already 8 confirmed presenters from Marks & Spencer UK, Tesco Hungary, COOP Norway, MIGROS Switzerland, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Robert Wiseman Dairies as well as Northern Foods and even more to be confirmed within the next days.

3. 10-point action plan

The participants will discuss a 10-point-action plan for bringing natural refrigerants faster to Europe. This is expected to serve as a roadmap for interested stakeholders and will be shared with policy and industry decision makers from around the globe after the event.

What will this roadmap look at?

This 10-point action plan/roadmap will look at short, medium and long term actions that can be undertaken to speed up market penetration. Areas on focus will be on technology/training/safety as well as policy/standards/regulation and market/costs/end-users, all put in the context of general awareness and psychology.
