KAV Consulting is a refrigeration consulting engineering firm, which designed the world’s first Multi-Function Two Stage Transcritical CO₂ Refrigeration System with Parallel Compression (MF2STCO₂RSPC) in 2011. The second such system is now under construction and incorporates the world’s first application of a CO₂ Evaporative Condenser/Gas Cooler (EC/GC). 

The firm recently completed the design for a MF2STCO₂RSPC incorporating an EC/GC for a −30°C cold store near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Klaas Visser, the principal of KAV, has 50 years of experience in the design of more than 800 industrial ammonia systems mainly for the meat industry.
