Panasonic has developed and produced a CO2 Refrigeration System with a “direct expansion type”, boasting a 2-stage compression rotary compressor and a split cycle, which were adopted in their own technologies and quickly launched in Japan.
It abled reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 60% per year as well as achieving energy savings of about 25% in freezing and 16% in refrigerated conditions when compared to the current HFC (R404A). Panasonic has been performing the field test in Denmark since February 2016 and plans to fully adopt it in Europe in 2017.
