Tommy Angback

Tommy holds a Master of Science degree in industrial management engineering. He has more than 20 years’ experience working with heat exchangers for refrigeration and air conditioning applications. He is dedicated to promoting high efficiency, natural refrigerant based, heat exchanger solutions in both industrial and commercial fields. For the past 10 years, he has been focusing Ammonia and CO₂ applications.  

Currently Tommy is globally responsible for Alfa Laval sales activity of plate heat exchangers towards the industrial refrigeration market.

Micael Antonsson

Micael Antonsson, Director and Cofounder of Green & Cool, a manufacturer of CO₂ refrigeration and heat pump technology, acquired in 2010 by UTC and since 1st. of December 2014 a division within Profroid SA. He has over 35 years of experience in refrigeration and is one of the pioneers with a history of installing Transcritical CO₂ for more fifteen years.

Eason Cheng

Eason Cheng has been with CAREL Group for over 10 years, as APAC Marketing Manager for Refrigeration. He is dedicated to promoting high effieciency solutions in both refrigeration and retail fields. For the past few years, he has been focusing on CO₂ solutions and BLDC compressor applications in commercial refrigeration.

Jan Dusek

Jan holds a Doctor of Engineering degree in System Design from Hosei University in Tokyo and a Master’s degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague. During his studies, and research undertaken in the USA, Europe and Japan, Jan has centered his academic focus on environmental technologies and marketing strategies. Having lived in Japan for over 8 years, Jan communicates fluently in Japanese and has a rich experience cooperating with Japanese industry. Jan is currently based in Tokyo, responsible for business development activities and monitoring Asian markets on behalf of shecco Japan.

Guy Evon Cloutier

Guy Evon Cloutier is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of CTC Group, headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in Montreal, Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore, serving as a strategic partner of several leading brands in the field of ice and snow applications,  technologies and refrigeration. Mr. Cloutier has 36 years of design and engineering, projects management, business development, senior management and strategic corporate advising experience as a world expert in the field of winter sports and entertainment.

Mr. Cloutier Graduated in 1982 in with a degree in Building Services EEngineering, with post-graduate degree in Business Management, and has attended Advanced Management Program at the Executive Institute of McGill University in Montreal and Continuous Executive Development Program at Toromont’s Senior Management Academy.

Starting in 1985, Mr. Cloutier held several senior positions at CIMCO in Canada, including the presidency of Toromont Industries Quebec Inc. From 2002 until 2008, Mr. Cloutier was acting as the Vice President and General Manager for responsible for international business at CIMCO, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Chinese subsidiary, during which time he oversaw the strategies, markets development, startup and management of the company’s International offices and operations, in China, Russia, Switzerland, Africa and MENA countries.  

He is a former Director and Member of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Chair of the China  Business Committee. Mr. Cloutier is a member of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) and member of the International Committee, as well as Regional Vice-Chairman, China and  Asian Countries, former Vice-Chairman and board member of the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) in Beijing for China, and an active member and senior advisor of the China Association of Refrigeration (CAR), and the Cancham in Shanghai.

Torben Funder-Kristensen

Torben Funder-Kristensen has a Master degree in Engineering (physics) and he received his Ph.D. in 1994 from the Technical University of Denmark (laser processing). Since 1995, Torben has been with Danfoss in Denmark holding various positions from consultancy within materials science and manufacturing processing to product development of controls components. He has been the Vice President of Product Development and from 2011 the head of Public Industry Affairs for refrigeration and air conditioning controls. He is a member of several internal and external boards and working groups within the industry.

Peter Michael Hansen

Peter holds a university degree in thermal and mechanical engineering. He has more than 20 years’ experience in Refrigeration Compressor and System Optimization. His background in the compressor industry comes from more than 15 years at Danfoss Compressors and 7 years at Secop. Currently, Peter is global responsible for all Secop technical market support.

Pega Hrnjak

Professor Hrnjak is Co-Director of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Center (ACRC) at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, an NSF founded university–industry cooperative research center. Pega is also a founder and President of R&D company CTS, which bridges ACRC activities (precompetitive research in function of education) and industry. He is an active member or fellow of ASME, ASHRAE, IIR, SAE and IIAR, and an editor or member of the boards of several professional scientific journals. He is a recipient of Gustav Lorentzen, J&E Hall and Rittinger medals among other awards.

Alvin Jose

Alvin is working with the United Nations Environment Programme (OzonAction) as a Montreal Protocol & Energy Efficiency Specialist (Consultant) since 2013. He has  more than 10 years of experience in Energy & Environment sector, particularly in Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Energy & Multilateral Environment Agreements. He has previously worked with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Government of India), TERI, UNDP and Asian Institute of Technology. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and also holds a master’s degree in Energy Engineering. 

At present, Mr. Alvin Jose is providing technical support to the Compliance Assistance Programme of the UN Environment to implement HCFC phase-out and HFC phase-down projects in Asia Pacific region. He has extensive experience on strategies for Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Refrigerant Management of HVACR sector in Asia Pacific region.

Lou Xiaohua, senior engineer, is now the technical deputy general manager of Nantong Square Technology Group Co., Ltd, and the president of the Research Institute of the company, with more than 20 years’ experience in researching and developing of quick-freezing equipment. He once served as a member of the National Refrigeration Standardization Technical Committee, participated in the drafting of 3 national standards and 1 industry standard for food quick-freezing devices. As a project lead, I have undertaken and completed a number of national, provincial and municipal major science and technology projects.

Jin Ma

Avipsa Mahapatra

Avipsa is the Climate Campaign Lead at EIA. During her five years in working on a global phase down of HFCs, Avipsa was instrumental in EIA’s international strategy formulation, overseeing technical and policy work and bringing a deep understanding of A5 concerns and relationships to the broader team. Avipsa joined EIA with over five years of climate policy management and implementation experience. She has previously worked for the World Resources Institute in developing a framework for emerging economies to initiate emissions reporting programs, and at Development Alternatives, a leading Indian research and action NGO, managing a carbon-reduction and environmental monitoring program via a large network of  diverse civil society organizations. She was an official member of the Indian delegation to UNFCCC COP 14, has also worked with the Earth Institute New York, WWF Norway, 350.org and PowerShift. She has graduate degrees from Columbia University in Climate Science and Public Policy and from the Energy and Resources Institute in India in Natural Resources Management, and held a research fellowship at Yale University in sustainable urban transport.

Marvin Moreno

Marvin Moreno is the International Sales Director for Hansen Technologies and a member of the Hansen Technologies Leadership Team. Marvin has 20+ years of experience in international business with global industrial and consulting organizations. Prior to joining Hansen Technologies, he held leadership roles at Pentair Technical Solutions, Johnson Controls and Ericsson. Marvin is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and has a basic understanding of German. He currently lives in Chicago, IL, USA.

André Paz Rosa

André Paz Rosa has been working at Embraco since 2003. He has held several roles within the R&D department, where he was a research engineer, product development manager and R&D senior manager for Europe. His current responsibilities include product development and technical support for household and light commercial refrigeration in Asia-Pacific market. André is an electrical engineer and holds an M.Sc. in scientific metrology.

Giacomo Pisano

After obtaining his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002, Giacomo Pisano worked for one year as a Project Manager for General Electric's Oil & Gas division, where the core business is turbomachinery applied to the oil & gas industry. He joined DORIN in 2003 in the R&D department, taking responsibility of the CO₂ compressor development and being in charge of the product's technical qualification. Giacomo Pisano then took over several application engineering roles and is currently responsible for the CO₂ compressors' business development. In the meantime he joined several ASERCOM working groups and was the Chairman for the association's CO₂ working group for many years.

Cicci holds a Master degree of Business Administration from East China University in 2001 and a BS of Mech Engineering in Cryogenics & Refrigeration from Xi'an Jiaotong University.

With 20years vast experience and knowhow in refrigeration industry on different important roles, incl. GM&MD of China Refrigeration,  full P&L responsibilities for Food and Process refrigeration business with strong double digit growth for years; Senior Manager & Key Account Manager, and Engineering Manager of Project Engineering Center with focus on transferring JCI advanced global products and technologies to China and Asia markets and establishing and training dedicated vertical applications engineering support, building up strategic marketing and key account management system, Product Portfolio Management etc. to execute Global & Asia IR strategy for long-term sustainable growth.

Ping Yang

Yang Ping, the vice general manager of ChinaIOL, has engaged in Home Appliance &Cold Chain industry research since 2013, studying cold chain equipment industry. Yang Ping establishes a team of cold chain equipment data collection, solicit contributions and compilation and participates in and directs cold chain equipment special research works etc. Yang Ping leads a team to build a research system of refrigerator, washing machine, cold chain equipment and refrigeration compressor etc. According to the development of refrigeration industry, she built a panoramic view of refrigeration equipment industry.

Yifan Yang

He has published 17 papers, presided over more than 70 projects including engineering design and Engineering Procurement Construction, and presided over the drafting of nearly 20 national and industry standards such as “Safety Code for Cold Store (GB 28009—2011)” and “Code for Installation and Acceptance Specification of Ammonia Refrigeration System (SBJ12—2011)”.
