Pilar Aleu

Pilar holds an Executive MBA from ESADE Business School (Spain) and a double-degree in Economics from the Public University of Navarra (Spain) and University of Abertay Dundee (UK) in European Economics and Management. She complemented her education and working experince in the US and India.

Pilar has been working at shecco for over five years, during which time she has contributed to the market development of natural refrigerants based technologies through the ATMOsphere conferences and has strenghted shecco's relations with customers and other stakeholders globally, with a special focus on Europe and America.

Director of Global Key Account Sales , Energy Division, Alfa Laval Group

Tommy holds a Master of Science degree in industrial management engineering. He has more than 20 years’ experience working with heat exchangers for refrigeration and air conditioning applications. He is dedicated to promoting high efficiency, natural refrigerant based, heat exchanger solutions in both industrial and commercial fields. For the past 10 years, he has been focusing Ammonia and CO2 applications.  

Currently Tommy is globally responsible for Alfa Laval sales activity of plate heat exchangers towards the industrial refrigeration market.

Lionel Audouy



Global Platform Director, Tecumseh Products Company

Lionel is working for Tecumseh since 1995. Until 2017, he was Engineering Director for Tecumseh Europe. During those years he was involved in all development related to compressors, condensing units and systems. The last key activities were focused on refrigerant transition and commercial refrigeration applications. In 2017, he became Global Platform Director,  globally managing the large capacity products over different technologies: Reciprocating, Semi-hermetic, Scroll & Rotary.

Matthew Bilverstone



Coldstore Engineering Supervisor, Greenyard Frozen

Matthew Bilverstone, Greenyard Frozen’s Coldstore Engineering Supervisor has over 10 years of food processing industry knowledge. He began working for Greenyard Frozen in 2009 as an apprentice, learning all the vital skills and relevant compliance expertise to become a multi-skilled engineer. Matthew then became Packing Engineering Supervisor and continued to climb the ranks to his current position of Coldstore Engineering Supervisor through Greenyard Frozen’s company succession and mentoring plan. The mentoring plan provided Matthew with support from a mentor who had over 40 years of experience working with refrigerants. Matt now has first-hand knowledge of looking after ammonia plants ranging from 5 to 40 years old as well as the smaller F-gas air handling units.

Pierre Boyer



Managing Director, Mechanical Systems, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration

Based in Aubagne, France, Pierre Boyer leads the Mechanical Systems activity for Carrier Commercial Refrigeration throughout Europe including sales, engineering and operations. He is actively promoting the use of CO2 and other natural refrigerants in systems of all formats, recently celebrating the 10 000th CO2 rack produced by Carrier in Aubagne.

Pierre took his current position in early 2018, after many years of experience in other branches of Carrier Refrigeration. He has a broad background in refrigeration and developing international capital goods businesses. Pierre is a graduate of HEC Paris business school and speaks English, French, German and other languages.

Sergio Bridda



Technical Sales - Sales Expert, Eliwell Controls (part of Schneider Electric)

Sergio is a graduate of Electric Technologies. After working in several industries, Sergio joined Eliwell's Technical Support team in 1998 as an engineer and became a manager later on. Over the years, he gained a solid knowledge of the refrigeration market, products, and applications.

He has been working as a Technical Sales Expert since 2017, and been promoting and supporting the Retail Solution branch for commercial and industrial refrigeration segments, including natural refrigerants. 

Marc Chasserot



CEO, shecco

Marc Chasserot is a specialist in natural refrigeration with over 15 years of experience in the HVAC&R sector, starting as the Marketing Manager for the Norsk Hydro business unit specialised in CO2 transcritical refrigeration and heating. He worked closely with several Japanese manufacturers selling the market innovative "CO2 Ecocute heatpumps".

In 2006 Marc founded the industry leading website for CO2 cooling and heating experts worldwide, called www.R744.com. This was followed by three additional industry resources for hydrocarbons, water and ammonia (namely: www.hydrocarbons21.com, www.R718.com and www.ammonia21.com).

Marc is co-founder and CEO of shecco, an independent market development company specialised in bringing Natural Refrigerants 'faster to market', working with numerous companies worldwide. Marc has chaired and organised several international workshops bringing together leading policy and industry experts to discuss 'how to bring natural refrigerants' faster to market, known as 'ATMOsphere'. He is also an active member of ASHRAE.

Henrik Christensen



Business Development Manager, Reftronix

Henrik Christensen joined Reftronix early 2017 and is heading sales, marketing, and business development.Reftronix’mission is to develop electronic solutions for the global HVAC/R industry in order to assist the industry in complying with regulatory mandated use of natural refrigerants and energy efficiency requirements.

Prior to joining Reftronix, Henrik was Global Platform Manager, Food Retail, for Parker Hannifin. In this role Henrik was responsible for the Global Food Retail Electronic Solution business and managed the CO2 solution rollout in North America. Before this, he held the position of Senior Director at Danfoss North America responsible for marketing, development, and operations, of the electronic solution business.

Henrik holds a Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and an MBA from Loyola University, Baltimore USA.

Norman Crowley



CEO & Founder, Crowley Carbon

Norman is a successful international entrepreneur and philanthropist. At the age of 26, Norman founded his first technology company Trinity Commerce. Trinity was one of the first e-commerce services companies in the world. By 1996 Norman had grown the business to 5 countries and 150 people. Three years later the business was sold to Eircom Plc just before the peak of the internet bubble. By 2001 Norman co-founded Inspired Gaming Group. By 2006, Inspired was the largest player in the world in the area of Server Based Gaming (SBG) and was floated on the London Stock Exchange. It had grown to 2500 people and had annual revenues of $500m. In 2008 Inspired was sold to a private equity group for a valuation of €500 million. After obtaining his Master degree in Energy Engineering (Padua University, 2015), Matteo Dal Corso joined CAREL working as an Application Specialist for food retail refrigeration application.
He is currently in charge of the development and deployment of electronic controllers dedicated to centralized supermarket and condensing units by defining marketing strategies, proposing new solutions and supporting the sales network with technical and application consulting. 
During the last period he has been focused mainly on the use of DC compressors in CO2 transcritical application.

Mauro De Barba



Marketing Manager Refrigeration Systems and Digitization, Eliwell by Schneider Electric

With more than 21 years’ in Eliwell, Mauro covers marketing roles since the 2001 merging his experience in monitoring systems and connectivity with a vision for sustainable and future proof solutions to answer the more and more demanding requirements from the refrigeration industry. He delivered solutions from Environmentally Optimized controllers to Televis Systems evolution leveraging on state-of-the-art technology and open protocols. Since the acquisition of Eliwell in 2014, Mauro is coordinating the IT-OT convergence and promoting the integration of all refrigeration solutions into Schneider Electric EcoStruxure architecture.

Michael Elstrøm



Technical Director , HB Products A/S

Michael Elstrøm is the technical director and co-owner of HB Products A/S, where he is responsible for technical development. He has 25 years of design experience within capacitive sensors for the refrigeration industry.

Michael Elstrøm came up with the idea for a gas quality sensor during a dialogue on improving efficiency and optimisation of the control of a liquid expansion value for use in air coolers/evaporators.

Jan Gerritsen



Innovation Manager Refrigeration Solutions, GEA

Jan graduated from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and specialized in Refrigeration Technologies. He joined GEA in 1988 and participated in many new technical developments, such as Ammonia DX and CO2 cascade systems. From 2012 to 2015 he worked as manager R&D for one of the leading supermarket cooling companies in the Netherlands, for which he developed transcritical CO2 systems. This combination of experience in both industrial and commercial refrigeration makes him well suited to present GEA’s view on CO2 and Ammonia systems.

James Graham



Sales Manager - Industrial Products, J & E Hall International

James holds a first class degree in Physics and an MBA in business. He has worked in the refrigeration industry for 26 years with companies such as York International, Johnson Controls, Engie and J & E Hall International. His focus and passion is energy efficiency, CO2 abatement and sustainable natural refrigerants.

Currently James is working as a senior sales manager for J & E Hall International throughout the UK and Europe advocating industrial products utilising natural refrigerants. The products J & E Hall manufacture are heatpumps, compressors, ScrewPacks and low-charge ammonia systems.

Vincent Grass



Refrigeration Team Leader, Corporate Operations – Engineering Services , Nestle

Vincent Grass is Refrigeration Team Leader in the Corporate Operations – Engineering Services department at Nestlé. He is responsible for expanding Nestlé‘s use of natural refrigerants worldwide.

He is involved in implementing natural refrigerant projects in Nestlé facilities across the globe, as well as risk mitigation related to using natural refrigerants. Prior to joining Nestlé seven years ago, he spent two years at Johnson Controls (JCI) and 10 years at Cofely Axima (formerly QUIRI). During that time he was primarily involved in projects using natural refrigerants ammonia and CO2.

Krzysztof Grzegorczyk

Krzysztof holds an MBA from Carlson School of University of Minnesota (USA) and Business School of Economics (Poland) and master degree from University of Agriculture (Poland). He has more than 15 years of experience working with refrigerants and history in other industrial products.

Barbara Gschrey

Barbara Gschrey has been working for Öko-Recherche since 2009 and managed the preparatory study for the EU Commission in the context of the review of the F-Gas Regulation. She holds in-depth knowledge about use and emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases and relevant business sectors.

Armin Hafner

Professor Dr.-Ing. Armin Hafner has recently started at NTNU Department of Energy and Process Engineering in Trondheim, Norway, as a professor in refrigeration technology. During the past two decades Armin has been working at SINTEF with research topics related to CO2 refrigeration technology applied in various applications.

Peter Michael Hansen

Peter holds a university degree in thermal and mechanical engineering. He has more than 20 years’ experience in Refrigeration Compressor and System Optimization. His background in the compressor industry comes from more than 15 years at Danfoss Compressors and 7 years at Secop. Currently, Peter is global responsible for all Secop technical market support.

Christian Heerup



Product Manager Refrigeration, Danish Technological Institute

Christian holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering supplemented by 30 years’ experience within refrigeration, including solutions for supermarkets, cold stores, heat recovery and air conditioning systems with focus on natural refrigerants CO2 and hydrocarbons.

Christian has initiated several projects aiming at reducing climate impact and optimizing energy performance and he share his discoveries when delivering training courses in CO2 refrigeration.

Felix Heydel

Dr. Felix Heydel has been working for almost five years as a project manager at Öko-Recherche and has in-depth knowledge in environmental consulting and research. His portfolio of projects includes environmental indicator development, market research on low-GWP alternatives to F-gases, stakeholder consultation, emission accounting and management of reporting data flows. Felix holds a Ph.D. from Goethe University of Frankfurt.

Dmitry Kamadeev

Dmitry Kamadeev joined Embraco in 2012. With more than 10 years working in sales, Dmitry holds the position of Key Account Manager for Russia, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. He is responsible for strategic and key accounts management and development, promotion of green technologies and innovatives products to OEMs and end users in retail and beverage industries. 

Dmitry holds a bacherlor degree of Economics and Business Administration from the Telemark Univeristy College. Also, he holds a bacherlor degree in Linguistics and Cross-cultural Communication from the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University.

Jan Króll



Senior Manager, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Carrefour Polska

Jan has been involved in refrigeration industry in Poland for over 10 years, working for three large food retail chains. During those years Jan has been actively developing a segment of installations based on CO2 introducing this refrigerant to Polish Food Retail market. His responsibility concerns tracking and implementing new refrigeration technologies, internal standards updating, cooperation with suppliers and contractors within refrigeration segment as well as Maintenance Department supporting.

Jan has been working for Carrefour Poland for over six years, being fully responsible for refrigeration systems at hypermarkets, supermarkets and franchise stores.

Gernot Lasser



Telemonitoring Development & Maintenance Manager, Epta Group

Gernot Lasser is an experienced manager with a proven history of automation and instrumentation work in various industries (chemical, pharmaceutical, energy). He is an engineer for telecommunications and electronics, experienced in business planning, business and engineering management, automation, instrumentation & control, SCADA systems. 

After nineteen years in the industry, he followed the offer to move into the refrigeration industry and took over the management of the control and electrical engineering department at Epta Deutschland GmbH in 2008. In 2017 he moved to his current position as Telemonitoring Development & Maintenance Manager of the Epta Group.

Aleksander Matuszny



Product Manager CO2/HC's, Area Cooling Solutions

Aleksander holds a master's degree in engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering, specialization Refrigeration, (Wrocław University of Technology 2008), Postgraduate studies "Project Management" (University of Economics, Wrocław 2013) and Faculty of Environmental Engineering, specialization Air-Conditioning, Heating and Sanitary Installations, (Wroclaw University of Technology 2018) .

Since 2007, he has been associated with Area Cooling Solutions in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning engineering. Since 2018, he has been the Product Manager CO2 / HC's and, in cooperation with the R&D department, he is responsible for the development and marketing of units using natural refrigerants. This year he co-created the Area Academy, training installers in the field of CO2 technology.

Andreas Meier



Managing Director, TEKO

Andreas Meier has several years of experience in management functions within the refrigeration sector. He has been a member of TEKO's management since August 2015. He was previously President of Sales D / A / CH at GEA Refrigeration Technologies, based in Berlin - Germany, and before that he was the Head of Marketing and Product Management at GEA Küba GmbH.

He also worked in Zug - Switzerland, as Sales & Marketing Manager at a Japanese manufacturer for industrial refrigeration.

Enrico Mirandola



Group Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Resource Data Management

Based in London, Enrico has over twenty years of experience in heading international sales, marketing and business developments within the building control and retail refrigeration sectors. Over the past six years, he has worked with Resource Data Management, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of advanced building control systems, remote monitoring and energy reduction solutions. During this time he has restructured the global sales network and positively helped drive growth in advanced control technologies associated with natural refrigerants. More recently, his focus has been effecting change in the US, encouraging companies to adopt RDM’s proven control strategies to help the environment by reducing carbon footprint emissions and energy usage.

Outside of work, he is a family man with a passion for everything moto racing, who is also keen on being active in a range of outdoor sports.

Manuel Munoz



Senior Application Engineer, Shrieve Products International Ltd.

Manuel holds a PDD Diploma from IESE Business School (Madrid, Spain, 2001), and a Chemistry Degree (Speciality: Industrial) from Granada University (Granada, Spain, 1989).

Manuel has over 27 years of experience in a variety of positions within the HVACR Industry, including: Technical Director - Refrigerants Distributor; AC Contractor; Maintenance Engineer; & Turnkey Project Engineer. For the last 10 years he has supported the sales network of speciality lubricant supplier, Shrieve within the EMEA and South America regions, promoting Shrieve’s capabilities and portfolio in conferences and seminars. Specific focus has been on testing and approval of their lubricants for R-744 Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems, by tier one compressor manufacturers.

Kaven Nourrice



R&D Engineer, Frascold

Kaven graduated from Politecnico di Milano and is an energy engineer. He has been part Frascold Technical and R&D department since 2017. His main responsibility is to support the sales department and customers with dedicated selections and trainings for the development of environmental friendly refrigerant applications, CO2 systems in particular.

Pedro Olalla is a telecommunication engineer with a business degree from ESADE Business School in Barcelona. He has been working for Huayi Compressors Barcelona for almost 30 years where he has held several different positions in R&D and Sales areas. Since 2005, he's been responsible of sales and marketing with a global responsibility within the Huayi Group for the light commercial refrigeration market.

Serena Ometto



IoT Marketing Manager, CAREL

After graduating in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Padua in 2002, Serena Ometto began her career in the telecom sector, first in Germany then in Italy. After experience in the automotive sector, she came to CAREL in 2008 in the role of Product Manager, managing and promoting monitoring products. 

From 2014 to 2018 she was Platform Manager, managing the entire life cycle of the product ranges for terminals, connectivity and supervision. From 2018, as IoT Marketing Manager, she is managing the conception and promotion of new service proposals based on the innovative IoT platform, by defining service-oriented business models and organizations.

Duško Pantović



Technical installation specialist, Delhaize Serbia

Duško graduated in Mechanical Engeeniring at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade. He has been working for Delhaize Serbia for the past 12 years. During that time he contrubuted to the refurbishment of more than 250 stores and the opening of more than 100 new stores. As a chief engineer he is credited for setting the standard method of design and execution cooling installation, constructing energy efficient stores and introducing natural refrigerants in Delhaize Serbia stores.

Clare Perry



Climate Campaign Leader, Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA)

Clare Perry has worked with the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) since 1998. As a climate campaign leader, she currently leads EIA’s climate campaign, which aims to reduce emissions of fluorinated gases and improve enforcement of multilateral environmental agreements designed to curb trade in harmful chemicals. She has attended meetings of the Montreal Protocol since 2007, was closely involved in the revision of the EU F-Gas Regulation, and advocates the use of climate-friendly alternatives to HFCs in multiple fora. Clare graduated from the University of Southampton in 1993 with a BSc in biology and subsequently gained a Masters degree in coastal zone management.

Toby Peters



Professor, University of Birmingham

Co-inventor of Liquid Air Energy Storage and joint lead on the original Doing Cold Smarter Policy Commission, Toby leads much of the new system-level approaches around the role "clean cold" has to play in emerging market transformation. He is also a consultant to the World Bank and Sustainable Energy for All (Cooling for All) and sits on the Technical Advisory Panel for the Global Cooling Prize.

Giacomo Pisano



Technical Sales Manager, Dorin

After obtaining his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002, Giacomo Pisano worked for one year as a Project Manager for General Electric's Oil & Gas division, where the core business is turbomachinery applied to the oil & gas industry. He joined DORIN in 2003 in the R&D department, taking responsibility of the CO2 compressor development and being in charge of the product's technical qualification. Giacomo Pisano then took over several application engineering roles and is currently responsible for the CO2 compressors' business development. In the meantime he joined several ASERCOM working groups and was the Chairman for the association's CO2 working group for many years.

Tadeusz Plewa



Head of Technical Operations, Makro Cash and Carry Polska

Tadeusz has been working in Makro Cash and Carry Polska for 25 years holding different positions and gaining experience in the area of sales and technical management. For many years, he has actively been involved in the implementation of natural refrigerant projects in Makro Cash and Carry stores in Poland. Previously, Tadeusz Plewa has worked in retail chain and trade and ran a gastronomic company. Tadeusz holds a Master in management from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Fabio Roncadin



Responsible for supply chain, operations and quality, Bofrost

Fabio graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1983 at the La Sapienza University of Rome. He worked in Aeronautica Militare, as part of the aircraft maintenance organization, in ENEA as a researcher, and at Oerlikon - Contraves (now Rheinmetall Italia) as the head of mechanical production and quality control. Since 1985 he works at Bofrost Italia with the responsability for supply chain, operations and quality.

Jürgen Süß



CEO, Efficient Energy

Jürgen joined Efficient Energy in December 2013 and is currently the CEO of the company. From early 2011, he served as Managing Director and CEO at Cofely Refrigeration in Lindau, Germany. This company is part of the GDF Suez Group and manufactures products and solutions for the industrial refrigeration segment. Previously, Jürgen had a 13-year assignment at Danfoss A/S in Denmark, where his last role was Vice President R&D of controls and line components for all kinds of refrigeration equipment. Before this, he held various management positions within technology and business development at Danfoss. Jürgen has a Ph.D. in Refrigeration from Hannover University and is active in the IIR, ASHRAE, and other scientific committees and associations.


David Schalenbourg



Director Technical Department, Delhaize

As director of the Technical Department BeLux David Schalenbourg is since September 2015 in charge of realizing Delhaize’s ambitions to reduce its CO2 footprint by building towards a sustainable ‘brick’ network. Graduated as an architect in Brussels, with a Master in Urban Planning obtained in Paris and with an international track record in a variety of sustainable building projects (residential, office, retail, islands, …).

Jonas Schoenenberger



Head Research & Development, Frigo-Consulting Ltd.

Jonas Schoenenberger is working for Frigo-Consulting, a Swiss engineering company mainly active in the fields of retail- and industrial refrigeration, with a focus on energy efficient and sustainable refrigerating systems. Over the past years, he has gained comprehensive experience in engineering efficient and sustainable solutions with natural refrigerants, and has been involved in the design and implementation of several sub- and transcritical CO2 systems. Since 2012, he has been in charge of research and development activities at Frigo-Consulting, and committed to developing and pushing innovative technologies. Jonas Schoenenberger gained a Bachelor degree in system engineering in 2009 and has previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer.

Olaf Schulze

Olaf Schulze is the Director Energy Management at Metro AG. From 2005 to 2013, he was the Managing Director of Metro Proper-ties Energy Management GmbH. Previously, Schulze has worked at Europower Energy GmbH as the Head of Legal and Human Resources and at Geberit Mapress GmbH as the Head of Legal and Insurance.

Yoram Shabtay



Heat Exchanger Designer veteran, Heat Transfer Technologies LLC

With 20 years of experience, Yoram Shabtay is a Heat Exchanger Designer veteran with a Master’s degree in Heat and Mass Transfer. Shabtay is the head of consulting firm Heat Transfer Technologies LLC (HTT) and as a licensed HVAC engineer, provides designs for current and new condenser and evaporator coils. HTT is also the official Technical Advisor to the International Copper Association, providing guidance and designs for all types of HVAC and refrigeration systems. He regularly speaks at conferences about new upcoming heat-exchanger technologies and related development work. HTT also works with industry leaders providing prototype heat-exchanger service for evaluation.

Gaku Shimada



Manager, Strategic Planning of Condensing Unit Business and Overseas Sales, Cold-Chain Business Division, Panasonic Corporation

In 1996, Gaku Shimada graduated from WASEDA University (with a Major in Applied Physics) and entered SANYO Electric Co.Ltd as a Mechanical Engineer of compressors. After receiving a Master degree in 2006 from Boston Univ., School of Management, he became the compressor sales manager as well as a strategic business planning manager of the new technology research department. Since 2017, Mr. Shimada has been the Manager of Strategic Planning of Condensing Unit Business and Overseas Sales, Cold Chain Business Division of Panasonic Corporation.

Silje Smitt

Silje is working as a PhD Candidate at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her specialization is within integrated heat pump and cooling systems for high performance buildings using natural refrigerants. She is currently working on developing “All-in-one” CO2 solutions for the hotel industry.

Yuri Soloviev is responsible for the Equipment Purchasing Department at Verniy, where he has been working for the last three years. Before that, he worked at Diksi retailer for 10 years at a similar position. He holds a bachelor degree in Engineer, in chemical technologies of rare earth materials in modern energetics, from the Ural State Technical University.

Morten Stensli



Operational Director, Norway, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration

Based in Oslo, Morten is responsible for the operations in Norway. Morten and his team are heavily promoting and installing CO2 systems for all refrigeration applications throughout the country. After graduating from NTNU with a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Morten joined Carrier in 2016. He has evolved to his current management position, leading a dynamic country for refrigeration in Europe.

LADISLAV STROJIL



Director, Digital Solutions, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration

Based in Prague, Czech Republic, Ladislav leads the Digital Solutions activities for Carrier Commercial Refrigeration throughout Europe, focusing on Field-Operations and after-sales. He is a tireless promoter of data-driven services, that drive efficiency, productivity and increase overall value to the customers.

Ladislav took his current position in 2016, joining Carrier after years of working for the Automotive industry in various roles. He has a broad background in IT and has an extensive experience in merging the  business and technology worlds together. Ladislav is a graduate of Charles University in Prague, and speaks Czech, English and German.

Andrzej Szymanik



Key Account Manager, Cooling, Danfoss Poland

Andrzej is a graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology (Poland), specializing in Refrigeration.

He has been professionally involved in refrigeration business in both commercial and industrial segment, including advanced control and monitoring systems. Gained professional experience and application knowledge through active contribution in many projects at every stage, from product trainings, system design consultancy, commissioning and troubleshooting, up to optimization of refrigeration system performance.

Andrzej has been working at Danfoss Poland for over 20 years, currently responsible for the Food Retail market segment.

Maciej Szymanski



National Senior Manager, Maintenance, Carrefour Polska

Maciej Szymański is the National Senior Manager of the Maintenance Department of Carrefour Poland.

Maciej has attended the Technical University of Gdansk, Electric and Automatic Department and has a Master of Science in Automatic Engineering.

He has been responsible for maintenance of all Carrefour commercial buildings in Poland (hypermarkets, supermarkets, shopping centers and franchise stores) for five years. His previous positions include Factory Director (WDX), Tehnical Manager (ECE Projektmanagement) and Facilities Manager (Sodexo).

Mahmood Tabaddor



Global Manager of Modeling, Simulation and Machine Learning, Underwriters Laboratories (UL)

Mahmood Tabaddor is the head of modeling, simulation and machine learning at UL.  He has over 20 years of application knowledge in using modeling and simulation for providing greater insight into product and system performance. Previous to UL, he worked at Bell Laboratories and DaimlerChrysler. He holds a PhD in nonlinear system theory from Virginia Tech.

Bente Tranholm-Schwarz



Deputy Head of Unit, DG Clima, European Commission

Since 2010 Bente Tranholm Schwarz is deputy Head of Unit in DG Climate Action in the European Commission responsible for, inter alia, protecting the ozone layer and the climate system against adverse effects of ozone depleting substances and fluorinated gases.
From 1996-1999 and from 2004 to 2009 she was dealing with state aid policy in DG Competition. Before she joined the European Commission she was working in the Danish Permanent Representation to the European Union and the Danish Ministry of Economics and Business Affairs.

Alain Wilmart



Senior Expert on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases and Ozone Depleting Substances, Belgian Federal Public Service for Health and Environment

Alain holds a Master in Agricultural Engineering and a Master in Science and Management of the Environment both from the University of Brussels (ULB). He has been the representative of the major Worker Union in Belgium in several National, Federal and Regionals Councils that are dealing with the Social and Economic Development, Environment, Waste Management, and Sustainable Development.

He has been in charge of the implementation of both the F-Gas Regulations and the Ozone Regulation for the last 15 years at the Federal level, coordinating the policy making in Belgium but also as lead negotiator at European and International Level (Montreal Protocol widely and Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol). For the time being, Alain is one of the Two Co-Chair of the Preparatory Segment of the Open Ended Working Group of the Montreal Protocol.

Business development Manager for Zudek srl since 2016.  A industrial refrigeration company focused on ecologic and extremely efficient plants. In this role Ivan Zudek is leading the company’s marketing and sales department, overseeing a team of marketing and sales professionals. Ivan is the oldest son of Alessandro Zudek founder of the Zudek srl. Having many years of international experience, studying Business management and working in the UK for two years he is the key player of the Zudek export strategy as well as product development.
