Mark Roberts presented the key findings of the latest report published by EIA's Washington D.C office. This report focusing on available HFC-free technologies for the retail sector in North America. The report also presents most relevant case examples currently in use in North America, including: Ben & Jerry's hydrocarbons freezers, Supervalu’s CO2 and ammonia cascade system, ammonia/CO2 cascade refrigeration system at a Defense Commissary Agency Project, Waitrose installs water & propane refrigeration system.

Mark Roberts

 

Mr. Roberts has practiced law for 27 years, specialising in environmental, energy, and
land use law and litigation. He joined EIA in 2008, as Senior Counsel and International Policy Advisor, and is actively involved in international environmental, deforestation and climate issues.

He has participated at the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Mr. Roberts is engaged in actions to reduce deforestation and forest degradation working at the UNFCCC, the World Bank and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, as an NGO representative.

Mr. Roberts regularly speaks and writes on legal, technical and policy issues related to climate change, control of greenhouse gases (particularly HFCs and ozone-depleting substances) and energy efficiency issues.
