Merle Rocke from EcoThermics, together with Darin Massner from Country Maid,  presents a pioneering project between EcoThermics and Country Maid, utilising a transcritical carbon dioxide (CO2) dedicated heat recovery system. The presentation compares the study of a prototype CO2 hydronic heat pump for space air conditioning in a commercial/industrial food production facility with traditional methods and outlines the lucrative market possibilities of CO2 heat pump technologies.

Merle Rocke is Chairman and CEO of EcoThermics Corporation, a pioneer in the development of natural refrigerant heat pump technologies, located in the Peoria NEXT Innovation Center in Peoria, IL. EcoThermics is building a sustainable business providing high value compressors, a critical component for CO2 heat pumps, which can significantly reduce energy consumption in a variety of applications. Prior to forming EcoThermics Corporation, Merle was COO of CGN & Associates, a global management consulting firm. Before joining CGN, Merle founded his own consulting practice, M.G. Rocke & Associates, LLC, following his retirement in 2002 from Caterpillar Inc. as General Manager at Caterpillar Logistics Services after thirty-five years in a variety of management positions.
