Process cooling with CO2 in Mack brewery, Norway

In his presentation, Kent Hofmann introduced Green&Cool’s latest CO2 transcritical project in Norway. The Norwegian brewery Mack is moving toward a more modern plant by installing two CO2 transcritical chillers with a total cooling capacity of 500KW. According to Hofmann, the system satisfies Mack’s requirements for performance, safety and reduced environmental impact.

Kent is an experienced engineer with over 30 years service in the HVAC and refrigeration industry covering consultancy, subcontracting, wholesale and manufacturing, with a special interest in energy efficiency and natural refrigerants. He has experience in systems using ammonia, propane, water and carbon dioxide and how to integrate these in supermarkets, industry and other commercial buildings. He joined the sales team at Green & Cool in mid 2010 to sell and promote trans-critical CO2 systems in Europe.
