Natural Refrigerants - Solutions for Europe: The 5th edition of ATMOsphere Europe 2013 brings together more than 200 HVAC&R industry experts to discuss the latest natural refrigerant market trends, technology innovations and regulatory issues. New additions to this year’s programme include side events and technomercials, which participants can attend during the Business networking lunches. One of the main features of the conference is an exclusive and in depth look at the new F-Gas regulations with input from representatives of the European Institutions and national governments. In addition to panel discussions and debates on policy developments and market trends, ATMOsphere Europe 2013 also includes several case study sessions focusing on the latest natural refrigerant technologies and projects in the areas of industrial, commercial and transport refrigeration, air-conditioning, heat pumps and more.

22 October 2013 | R600a gets the “green light2.5 years after initial SNAP approval of R290 in stand-alone commercial refrigeration, the US EPA has granted Red Bull permission to use R600a for its coolers, allowing a reduction in the energy consumption of its cooler fleet by up to 20%. Despite the breakthrough, this late permission translates to a lost potential of deploying tens of thousands of HC units in the US. The policy relevance for Europe was discussed during ATMOsphere Europe 2013 conference.
