Andreas Nolte, Managing Director of Nolte aktiv-markt GmbH, a company that owns several supermarkets under the Edeka Group which is one of the largest food grocers in Germany, says in his presentation that since 2009 transcritical CO2 systems and subcritical hybrid cascade systems have been the preferred choice at Edeka Südwest. As a result, today Edeka Südwest has 106 transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems and 59 subcritical hybrid cascade systems in operation.

Andreas Nolte has been active in Nolte aktiv-markt GmbH, a company which owns several supermarkets operating under the EDEKA brand, since 1993. He assumed the role of Managing Director in 1995 and is responsibe for the areas of Finance, Electronic data processing and Procurement. With the building of the new store in Königstein, Andreas also assumed responsibility for Sustainable development at Nolte aktiv-markt GmbH. The first big project is the implementation of a CO2 system at the Königstein store.
