With the support of the Ministry of Environment in Japan, solar cooling system was introduced in Indonesia since 2014 using solar absorption chiller. The system reduces fuel gas consumption by 32% and can be captured by 55% load with only solar hot water.

Jongsoo Jeong

 

Ph.D. Jongsoo Jeong is an associate professor at the Research Institute for Science and Engineering of the Waseda University since 2010. From 2011 to 2013, he also joined the University of the Philippines as a visiting professor. Ph.D. Jongsoo Jeong is member of several associations such as the Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Heating, Air-conditioning and Sanitary Engineers of Japan. Ph.D. Jongsoo Jeong has received the Best Paper Award at the SAREK 2010 annual meeting, the Best Presentation Award of engineer workshops 2008 of Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers and the Best Presentation Award of Korea society of refrigeration and air-conditioning 2014 annual conference.
