EcoThermics has applied its core competencies in high-pressure fluid mechanics and thermodynamics to create a robust, high-performance advanced prototype compressor.
Initially targeting the market for commercial water heating with applications such as dishwashing, laundry, kitchens and numerous industrial processes, EcoThermics is developing compressors in the 10-30kW (3-9 ton) CO2 compressor range.
The EcoThermics compressor are designed to tolerate the high-pressure environment and the particular thermodynamic requirements of CO2, with the multi-piston axial compressor design departing from rotary, ball piston, scroll, screw, and reciprocating (piston/crankshaft) compressors.

ATMOsphere America 2013 will be held June 17-19, 2013 at the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington DC.
The Theme for our 2013 event remains: "The Business Case for Natural Refrigerants in North America" and the program will be tailored to fit this Theme. Therefore, there will be a strong focus on end-users from different sectors as well as latest technology case studies from US, Canada and Mexico. A more detailed preliminary program will be published over the coming weeks and a call for Case Studies will open early next year (2013). Important criteria for acceptance will be that it is a real-life example from, or specifically for North America, including efficiency, cost and emissions related figures.
