About SCM Frigo
SCM Frigo was founded in Italy in 1979 as a manufacturer of components for refrigeration systems. Today the company has diversified their product offering and produce ready-to-install products such as condensing units, power packs and chillers, both for indoor and outdoor application.
In 2004, the manufacturer presented a renewed range of units for CO2 subcritical, acclaimed for their technological and constructional advancements. In 2005, the CO2 product line was extended further, adding a trancritical (TC) line, and three years later, a TC booster line.
SCM Frigo’s main application fields for these units are:
- Commercial refrigeration
- Industrial refrigeration (cold rooms, tunnels etc.)
- Industrial process refrigeration (materials processing, ice-rinks etc.)
Product offering using natural refrigerants
SCM Frigo produces NH3 Brine Chillers with a capacity range of 85 – 365 kW, for outdoor application. For indoor application, products for CO2 include compressor packs for machinery room installation (capacity range 5 – 300 kW), and CO2 booster compressor packs with direct expansion (capacity range 20-200 kW).
