Early bird rate expires and new confirmed speakers

The early bird rate will expire next week on 30 June. So register now and save 100€. In addition, new high-level policy speakers from UNEP, UNIDO, the US Environment Protection Agency and the European institutions have confirmed to present at ATMOsphere 2010.

This is a reminder for those wishing to take advantage of the early bird rate for ATMOsphere 2010. It will expire next Wednesday, 30 June, and allows you to save 100€. Register here

Confirmed Policy Speakers

The following policy speakers have already confirmed to present at ATMOsphere 2010 with more to be announced soon:
  • Rajendra Shende, Head of the OzonAction Programme at UNEP will talk about the “UN funding opportunities to divert from HCFCs”
  • Sidi Menad Si Ahmed, Director of the UNIDO Multilateral Environmental Agreements branch, will hold a presentation on “Supporting Developing Countries in Shifting away from Ozone Depleting Substances”
  • Dr Lambert Kuijpers, Co - Chair of the Montreal Protocol Technical and Economic Assessment Panel will present the latest TEAP Report about alternatives to HCFCs and environmentally sound alternatives
  • Philip Owen, Head of Ozone and Transport Unit, DG CLIMA, at the European Commission, will explain the review of the F-Gas Regulation and discuss “What’s in it for Natural Refrigerants”
  • Julius Banks, Team Lead in Stratospheric Protection Division, from the US Environmental Protection Agency will present “The Role of SNAP Approval in bringing Natural Refrigerants to the United States”
  • Miruza Mohamed, Assistant Director from the Environment Department of the Maldives will talk about “Carbon Neutrality in the Maldives to Prevent Rising Sea Levels and the Role of Natural Refrigerants”
  • Satu Hassi, former Finnish Environment Minister and Member of the European Parliament will discuss the role of the European Parliament in promoting sustainable heating and cooling technologies.
  • Didier Coloumb, Director of the International Institute of Refrigeration will outline latest activities of the IIR with regards to natural refrigerants
