A large and diverse group of policy makers from around the world will be present on 27-28 September in Brussels to discuss with industry experts concrete actions for how to bring hydrocarbons faster to different world markets. Dedicated hydrocarbons presentations include innovations from GTZ, Embraco, Johnson Controls, Earthcare and Mayekawa.

With a new innovative concept ATMOsphere 2010 wants to make a decisive step towards concrete results and solutions to barriers to the uptake of natural refrigerants around the globe. Policy sessions with key decision makers from the United Nations, the EU, different European national governmental agencies, the US, Japan, Colombia and more in combination with technology innovation sessions in the afternoon will be preparing the ground for the discussion rounds right after.

The discussion groups: Where policy and industry meets

All participants will be divided into 15 groups of 10 people including one moderator. Each group will comprise a fixed distribution of stakeholders ranging from policy, end users, suppliers, academia, associations and NGOs. A series of questions related to the specific barriers and solutions for different applications and world regions will ensure the focus on defining actions for a wider uptake of natural refrigerants. Hence, the different stakeholder groups have to discuss together and will report back to the rest of ATMOsphere.

The results of ATMOsphere including proposals for concrete actions from the group discussions will be compiled into a ‘special report’ that will be handed out to delegations at major UN negotiations, companies at trade fairs including Chillventa, and to general and trade media.
