ATMOsphere America 2014 makes waves in San Francisco

The event provided a unique platform to exchange information and best-practice in natural refrigerant-based technology through a combination of presentations, case studies and ample networking opportunities.

Main topics included presentations from policy makers, energy providers and academics who spoke about the national and international legislative measures that could create opportunities for natural refrigerants, as well as presentations by several key end users discussing their experiences with and future plans involving natural refrigerants. In addition, leading manufacturers presented case studies demonstrating the energy efficiencies of CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons and water as refrigerants in commercial, light commercial, industrial & transport refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. ATMOsphere America 2014 made one thing very clear, natural refrigerant technologies are rapidly gaining momentum in North America as more and more industry stakeholders realise both the environmental and economic benefit of using natural refrigerants.
