We are very pleased to have Danfoss on board as a Silver Sponsor of the 4th edition of ATMOsphere America, which will be held on 25 & 26 June 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1933, the Danish company is a leading supplier of compressors and automated solutions using natural refrigerants to the HVAC&R industry.

From its beginnings as a solo enterprise in 1933 in Denmark, Danfoss has grown to incorporate over 22,000 employees and remains dedicated to providing engineering solutions in Europe, North & South America, Asia and Africa.

Its focus on innovative engineering and its early entry into emerging markets have led Danfoss to expand its global position and to become a world-leader in the refrigeration and air condition industry. Danfoss’ Refrigeration and Air Conditioning division offers a wide product portfolio, including automatic controls, valves, compressors and electronic sensors that employ CO2, ammonia (NH3) or hydrocarbons (HC) as the refrigerant.

Danfoss CO2 High pressure ball valves for commercial applications

Suitable for commercial CO2 applications for 90 bar MWP, Danfoss’ range of high pressure GBC ball valves helps withstand the high pressures experienced during standstill conditions, enabling the system to be shut down and serviced without an auxiliary cooling system. The ball includes pressure equalization to prevent trapped pressure and has access ports for convenient service.

Main benefits of the GBC ball valves include:

  • Less refrigerant discharge during non-operation
  • No need for costly backup systems
  • Energy efficiency and, therefore, cost efficiency

Danfoss showcased its NH3 & HC solutions at Chillventa 2014

At the international trade fair Chillventa 2014, which took place from 14-16 October 2014 in Nuremberg, Germany, Danfoss presented its latest solutions with NH3 and HC refrigerants. Some of those products include:

  • SVL SS Flexline: Employing NH3 refrigerant, the stainless steel line of components is suitable for highly corrosive environments in industrial applications such as breweries, dairies and fishing vessels.
  • XV compressors: Using R600a refrigerant, these units are designed for light commercial refrigeration and combine compact design with high COP.
