In 2014 Mayekawa, which has a 40% market share of the industrial refrigeration compressor market, celebrated its 90th anniversary. Kuniaki Kawamura, Mayekawa Manufacturing's Executive Director, reviewed the company’s long history in manufacturing industrial refrigeration compressors using natural refrigerants. In a product overview, Mr. Kawamura described Mayekewa's variety of technologies using the five natural refrigerants that can reach temperatures of between -100°C and 120°C, including the NewTon package, utilising NH3/CO2 in the cold store and fishing sector; and the PascalAir, using air-cycle refrigeration for low-temperature applications ranging in temperature from -50°C to -100°C.
