We are very glad to welcome two new Bronze Sponsors for ATMOsphere America 2013: Alfa Laval, the Swedish expert in heat transfer, separation and fluid handling; and Star, Uk's largest independent engineering company for industrial refrigeration and HVAC solutions.

The annual meeting place for industry experts to discuss natural refrigerant in the US and Canada will be back on June 18-19, 2012 in Washington DC.

About Star Refrigeration

Star refrigeration is a leading specialist in high efficiency solutions using ammonia and carbon dioxide. Recent company product innovations include heat pump technology for industrial applications.

Established in Glasgow in 1970, Star Refrigeration first used CO2 in the early 1990s. Their first retail CO2 plant was installed in 1992 and in 1996, the company pioneered on behalf of Nestlé a CO2/NH3 cascade system for freeze drying. Recently, Star installed the world's largest ammonia district heating system in Norway.

Star's ammonia Azane range products includes low charge, packaged solutions for freezing/cold storage and chilling applications. The company also provides of CO2 packaged solutions for the retail sector including temperature controlled distribution, food freezing and IT cooling for both low and high temperature applications.

About Alfa Laval

As a global provider of specialized products and engineering solutions to heat, cool, separate and transport products in the food and beverage industry, Alfa Laval is continuously developing innovative solutions to support the HVACR market transition towards natural refrigerants.

Company products are used in power plants, aboard ships, as well as for comfort climate and refrigeration applications in nearly 100 countries since more than 125 years.

Alfa Laval ammonia solutions foinclude heat exchangers, condensers and air coolers in particular while their air heat exchangers range, the Optigo line has been specifically designed for CO2 refrigerant and features slim designs, increased cooling capacity and lower power consumption as well as easy installation and maintenance.

Having recognised the shortage of expertise and the importance of education in refrigeration technology, Alfa Laval has decided to contribute to CO2 training and collaborates with the Green & Cool Academy training course providing heat exchangers and other necessary equipments.
