Products and Projects

Mayekawa seeks to develop markets with innovative plant-improving technologies that save energy, water and resources. They produce compressors, cooling systems, heat pumps, freezers, gas compressors, food robotics and other equipment. In 2012, Mayekawa’s state-of-the-art air heat-source transcritical CO₂ heat pump (UNIMO) was the first of its kind to be installed in Australia.

Specifically for breweries, Mayekawa offers a system with higher productivity and enhanced quality using two technologies: "the integrated energy saving system for entire plant" which makes the best use of the heat consuming and energy cooling process in beer production, and "the biogas reuse technology (boiler and congeneration)" which effectively uses the methane gas produced in the anaerobic wastewater treatment process. Applying these technologies to Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects, as per the Kyoto Protocol, in emerging countries centering in Asia, Mayekawa has achieved good results in successful Greenhouse gas emission reduction.

UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit 2013, co-organised with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), aims to provide natural solutions for manufacturers and end-users from developing countries in the fields of refrigeration, air-conditioning and foam. Through panel discussions and real case studies from developing nations, this conference seeks to present practical solutions for overcoming the challenges to introducing and implementing natural substances in these areas.
