UNIDO, the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation promotes and accelerates sustainable industrial development in developing countries. Thus, an important focus for UNIDO is the choice of refrigerant and foam blowing agent used when implementing projects.
The main objective of the joint UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit is, therefore, to provide end-users and manufacturers from developing countries with practical technical solutions for using natural substances (e.g.: CO2, hydrocarbons, ammonia).
More precisely, this summit aims to:
- Present and discuss natural solutions that are already available in the RAC and foam blowing agent sectors
- Provide practical panels and real case studies
- Focus on the costs of these solutions
- Give information about safety and training

Call for Case Studies coming soon
The ATMOsphere Review Panel will announce a Call for Case Studies next week for the two technology sessions. The Call will be open to case studies focusing on completed or ongoing projects, best practices and/or lessons learned in the field of natural refrigerants and foam blowing agents using natural solutions in developing countries.
