UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit - Natural Solutions for Developing Countries: ATMOsphere is proud to announce their first conference organised in collaboration with a UN agency, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The main objective of the joint UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit is to provide end-users and manufacturers from developing countries, who are active in the Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration (HVAC&R) and foam sectors with practical solutions for overcoming the challenges faced while introducing natural substances as refrigerants, such as CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons, water and air.

Taking place on 3 & 4 June 2013, at the UNIDO headquarters in Vienna, this conference will present market trends, policy updates and technology available in developing countries to around 200 industry stakeholders and decision makers from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East as well as North and South America.

26 June 2013 | UNIDO Technology Summit Discusses Leapfrogging High-GWP Refrigerants 4 June 2013: The UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), together with market development company Shecco, convened the ATMOsphere Technology Summit, which brought together 150 representatives from developing and developed countries who explored the possibilities of leapfrogging high global warming substances in the Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration (HVAC&R) and foam sectors.

Industry and NGO representatives as well as training experts with experience in Pakistan, India, the Gambia and the Republic of Macedonia, shared their experiences and discussed the lessons learned from success stories of introducing hydrocarbons for foam blowing agents and in domestic refrigeration.

Japanese manufacturer of absorption chillers Kawasaki Thermal Engineering (KTE) presented their long history of absorption chiller technology development and the energy savings possible when utilising this environmentally friendly technology.
6 June 2013 | UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit shows NH3 suitable HCFC alternative from the Ukraine to US Over two days representatives from developing and developed countries gathered at the joint UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit, in Vienna, Austria, to discuss viable, climate friendly alternatives to HCFC refrigerants. Ammonia refrigeration, favoured around the world as a natural solution for the commercial and industrial refrigeration sectors, featured in many presentations, including from Pega Hrnjak, Eric Delforge, Caleb nelson, Jan Boone and Eric Wagner.
