Since 1924, Mayekawa has been developing new technologies using natural refrigerants for heating, air conditioning, cooling, chilling and freezing applications. One of its latest projects was the installation of the first Mayekawa unimo W/W water source electric heat pump (EHP) at Verka Food Products, India’s second biggest milk plant. The system, which uses CO₂ as the EHP refrigerant, is expected to achieve a primary energy saving of 54% and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 47%.
