We are pleased to announce that BITZER, one of the worldwide leading compressor manufacturers, will be a first-time Gold Sponsor for the 4th edition of ATMOsphere America. The event, which is estimated to gather 300-350 HVAC&R professions, will take place on 25 & 26 June 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Employing around 3,000 people in more than 90 counties, BITZER has established itself as one of the leading manufacturers of reciprocating, screw and scroll compressors for air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump applications using natural refrigerants such as ammonia, propane and CO2. In addition to compressors, BITZER’s product range also includes condensing units and pressure vessels.

BITZER introduces the OS.A95 compressor for ammonia

BITZER’s OS.A95 ammonia screw compressor for use in industrial applications has a displacement of up to 1,015 m3/h at 50 Hz. Thanks to its enhanced rotor profiles with optimised flow cross sections, the compressor’s application spectrum ranges from air conditioning and medium temperature applications to the low temperature refrigeration range. A key component of the OS.A95 is its integrated smart electronics CM-SW-01. In conjunction with the VI slider, it can be used to efficiently and infinitely adjust the volume ration in a broad range of applications, made possible with integrated sensors and slider position indicator.

For this compressor, BITZER developed a special oil separator, as the volume flow is nearly doubled. The horizontal oil separator combines several separating stages in one vessel, making the system simpler and the units more compact. With the multistep separation, the OAHC65051A oil separators ensure minimal oil carry over rates, well below 10ppm. The OS.A95 compressor employs internal oil management using exceptionally low quantities of oil and differential pressures to ensure reliable and extremely efficient oil lubrication of the compressor.

CME & CKH series for CO2 transcritical & subcritical applications

The CME series of eight subcritical CO2 reciprocating compressors, one of BITZER’s 2014 highlights, can be used as boosters or in water cooled systems in low and medium temperature applications. The compressors accommodate displacement between 1.7 and 9.22 m3/h and come with two motor versions. The CME series is ideal for use with chilled water distribution nets with a maximum condensing temperature of 25°C.

For transcritical CO2 applications, BITZER has expanded the capacity range of it CKH CO2 reciprocating compressors, including the 2 cylinder CKH2 and the 6 cylinder CKH5. The CKH series is designed for pressures up to 100 bar low pressure and 160 bar high pressure. With their new cylinder head, the compressors run with low pressure pulsation. The CKH5 models are very compact and efficient and have displacements from 3.3 to 37.9m3/h. In all models, the speed can be adjusted between 30 and 70 Hz.

About ATMOsphere America 2015
25 & 26 June at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead – Atlanta, Georgia

ATMOsphere America 2015 – The Business Case for Natural Refrigerants returns as the meeting place for HVAC&R industry experts interested in natural refrigerant market trends, technology innovations and policy issues. The conference is expected to draw 300-350 participants and will cover a range of applications including commercial, light commercial, industrial and transport refrigeration, heat pumps and air conditioning. As ATMOsphere America continues to grow, one of the new features of the 2015 conference will be the opportunity to attend additional site visits and training sessions on the days before and after the event.

Registration for ATMOsphere America 2015 will officially be announced in December 2014 with an Early Bird Special discount.
