CO2 and NH3 solutions to support the transition to natural refrigerants

Alfa Laval’s full range of brazed plate heat exchangers suitable for CO2 is designed to deliver optimal efficiency whilst staying future-proof in terms of the latest international regulations on refrigerant use. Among its latest product innovations are the Alfa Laval AC1000DQ/ACH1000DQ, the new 2 models of the compact and highly efficient Alfa Laval CBXP112 (Copper Brazed X-treme Pressure) brazed plate heat exchanger that were launched in October 2014. With these new products, Alfa Laval unveils one of the largest dual-circuit brazed plate heat exchanger on the market. Some of the main features of these models include:
  • DynaStatic Design, which gives unprecedented flexibility to tailor the optimal distribution system
  • FlexFlow Design, which uses unique plate pattern asymmetries to unlock new levels of efficiency.
The company also provides products employing ammonia to the industrial refrigeration market, some of which include:

AlfaNova 76 with U-Turn separator: 100% stainless steel, fusion-bonded plate heat exchanger, suitable for applications with ammonia. Combined with the Alfa Laval U-Turn liquid separator, it ensures minimum pressure drop losses and maximum energy efficiency.

Alfa Laval Arctigo IS: Industrial heavy-duty air coolers with copper or stainless steel tubing, suitable for cooling and freezing applications in medium to large cold rooms. This industrial air cooler line is designed to keep fresh and frozen goods refrigerated from +30 to -40°C, with either high or low humidity content.
