Just days from the first ever ATMOsphere America in Atlanta, Georgia, expert in fan and motor technology for the HVAC&R sector, ebm-papst, has signed on as a Bronze Sponsor. The U.S. subsidiary of the Germany-based company helps manufacture over 14,500 products worldwide with the rapidly expanding CO2 market in North America next in its sights.

ebm-papst is well-equipped for the latest wave of CO2 technology making inroads in the U.S., including transcritical refrigeration. The company provides application-specific engineering solutions for air technology from tube axial fans, centrifugal blowers, cross flow blowers and backward curved impellers to axial fans. As well as supplying the HVAC industry, ebm-papst also has multinational clients in the electronics, computer, telecommunications, appliance, industrial, automotive and medical industries.

The company’s GreenTech philosophy is symbolic of the company-wide commitment to use eco-friendly manufacturing materials and state-of-the-art methods for designing products. Combining high-tech electronic intelligence, with advanced motor and aerodynamic technology, ebm-papst fans provide multiple solutions for air moving challenges that will no doubt generate plenty of discussion at the event in Buckhead, Atlanta from June 25-26.

ebm-papst AxiTop diffuser to reduce energy consumption by around 25% and noise by eight decibels

ebm-papst product portfolio incudes the AxiTop diffusers - which are used in conjunction with rooftop refrigeration condensers and heat exchangers - in Europe and is now looking to the U.S. as CO2 increases in popularity.

The diffusers are suitable for CO2 transcritical and retrofits of existing ebm-papst fans. The AxiTop enhances airflow while reducing energy consumption by around 25% and noise by eight decibels.

Energy Scouts initiative

As well as its product offering, ebm-papst is eager to introduce its ‘Energy Scouts’ project to the U.S. market, which is designed to highlight topics around climate protection, energy efficiency and sustainability.

In June 2015, three of the company’s apprentices flew to the U.S. to identify energy wasters at various companies – equipped with instruments like a thermal imaging camera and a compressed-air measuring device. In existence in Europe since 2010, the program has saved approximately €1 million at ebm-papst alone.
