The Swiss engineering company Frigo-Consulting AG, an expert in sub- and transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems for retail and industrial applications, has announced that it will once again support ATMOsphere Europe 2016 as a Bronze Sponsor. For its 7th conference, ATMOsphere Europe is moving South to Barcelona, Spain!

Based in Bern, Switzerland, the independent engineering company Frigo-Consulting AG has grown to become a global leader in CO2 technology since its founding in 1988. The company has two additional branches in Switzerland, as well as four offices across Europe in Italy, Poland, Romania and Spain. It executes a large range of projects with qualified teams of specialists.

Bringing CO2 technology to Carrefour Hypermarket in Spain

One of Frigo-Consulting’s projects based in a warm climate country involved a Carrefour hypermarket in Alzira, Spain. The store installed a CO2 booster refrigeration system in 2013 and now boasts a 40% drop in energy-consumption and a reduced carbon footprint compared to refrigeration systems using synthetic refrigerants. Further efficiency increases can be expected with the systems synergy effect of combining air-conditioning and heating technology.

In cooperation with Carrefour Europe, Frigo-Consulting AG developed the “Best Practice” program and offered support in innovative refrigeration engineering and energy technology, including training.

Frigo-Consulting AG has taken the CO2-Technology one step further and realized the first Ejector-System already in 2013, followed by several other, even more enhanced Ejector-Systems since 2014 for various retail-chains. The results with ejectors are exceptional and striking!
