The leading Danish company Danfoss has announced that it will again be a Silver Sponsor of ATMOsphere Europe, which will take place on 19 & 20 April 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. The company specialises in three main areas: refrigeration & air conditioning, heating & water and motion controls, and services a global customer base in more than 100 countries.

Dating back to 1933, when Mads Clausen founded Danfoss in his parent’s farmhouse in Nordborg, Denmark, the company has since grown from a solo enterprise to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of energy-efficient and innovative solutions.

Driven by its “Engineering Tomorrow” tagline, Danfoss plays an active role in addressing today’s main global growth themes including infrastructure, food, energy and climate. The company boasts an extensive product range including valves, electronic controls, pressure and temperature regulators, sight glasses, sensors, line components and more.

MBS 8250 pressure transmitters for CO2 food retail

One of Danfoss’ newly introduced products is the MBS 8250, a series of compact pressure transmitters developed and thoroughly tested to ensure excellent operation in CO2 food retail applications. It monitors the suction and discharge pressure in CO2 sub- and transcritical cycles and offers a reliable pressure measurement.

The product offers a number of advantages including:
  • Reliable pressure measurements even under harsh environmental conditions
  • Version with an integrated pulse-snubber provides protection against cavitation, liquid hammering and pressure peaks
  • Lower total cost of ownership for supermarket refrigeration systems
  • Reduced carbon footprint
  • Excellent shock and vibration robustness
