Alfa Laval TK20 heat exchanger, crafted to maximise energy efficiency

Alfa Laval is continuously developing new heat exchanger solutions to support the transition towards natural refrigerants. One of its latest products is the TK20 semi-welded gasketed plate and frame-heat exchanger, which is able to work with CO2 and ammonia for low and high pressures. The Alfa Laval TK20 can be used in both commercial and industrial applications.

It can operate in temperatures that range from -47°C to 150°C and its flexible modular design expertly copes with fatigue stresses and ice formation. In addition, its unique design also includes new features such as:
  • RefTight ™ – unique gasket groove design with maximum support and minimum contact
  • CurveFlow ™ – patented distribution zone for more energy efficiency
  • ClipGrip ™– patented mounting method to ensure gasket is securely attached
Main benefits of the TK20 are:
  • High serviceability
  • Compact design
  • Flexible configuration
  • Leak-proof design of welded channels with minimum gasket contact
  • New plate design especially suitable for flooded evaporation duties
Alfa Laval’s product portfolio also features products using ammonia for the industrial refrigeration market including the AlfaNova 76 with U-Turn separator and Alfa Laval Arctigo IS industrial heavy-duty air coolers.
