Case study presentation
Danfoss has been chosen to present its case study “Safe and responsible usage of natural refrigerants” during one of the Technology Case Study Sessions at UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit. The study highlights the considerations, encompassing efficiency, safety and cost, behind Danfoss’s product development, including an education programme carried out by Danfoss in Brazil. The case relates how these practices have led to concrete examples of success in Brazil (Heineken propane bottle coolers and Verdemar CO2 supermarkets).

Danfoss has a steadfast commitment to developing new technologies for sustainable business growth with respect to climate and energy challenges, as well as other issues. In 2002, Danfoss joined the United Nations Global Compact Initiative, vowing to uphold its ten principles concerning human rights, labour practices, the environment and anti-corruption. Each year, Danfoss publishes a report, the Danfoss Corporate Citizenship Report, on the company’s progress and activities related to these ten principles.
