One of Mayekawa’s environmentally sustainable solutions is the NewTon NH3/CO2 cooling system, designed for cold storage refrigeration. The system reduces absorbed power by 20% in comparison to conventional HFC refrigerators. By using CO2 as the secondary refrigerant and, thereby, reducing the amount of NH3 refrigerant to 1/6 the amount of a conventional ammonia system, the safety is significantly improved.
CO2 heat pump series
Mayekawa has been manufacturing large-sized air conditioning heat pumps for offices, data centers, museums, public buildings, sporting and food processing facilities, etc. since 1971. Its CO2 heat pump series comprises high-efficiency electric heat pumps that recover heat from air and water, producing hot water using the transcritical cycle of CO2 refrigeration. Mayekawa’s CO2 heat pump models include Unimo A/W, a heat pump hot water unit, and Unimo W/W, which uses water as its heat source (including waste hot water from the transcritical CO2 refrigeration cycle) to generate hot and cold water simultaneously.
Hydrocarbon, ammonia & CO2 compressors
For over 80 years, Mayekawa has been active in the refrigeration industry, developing high quality, easy to handle and cost-effective thermal technology. Its comprehensive range of compressors for a variety of applications includes screw and reciprocating compressors, both single-stage and compound two-stage. The GH series screw compressors, oil injection type screw compressors capable of running continuously at a discharge pressure of 5,0 MPaG (50bar), are designed for hydrocarbons, ammonia and CO2.
