Frigo-Consulting, which is active in the fields of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems with a focus on sustainable engineering and subcritical & transcritical CO2 systems, has announced it’s support of ATMOsphere Europe 2015 as a Bronze Sponsor. The conference will take place from 16 – 17 March in Brussels, Belgium.

Founded in 1988, Frigo-Consulting, an independent engineer company headquartered in Bern, Switzerland, offers support in the designing and engineering of innovative refrigerating systems and their implementation into overall facility concepts.

CO2 ejector technology

Frigo-Consulting’s first transcritical CO2 system operating with ejector technology, which was installed at a Migros Bulle in Switzerland in July 2013, has already shown an energy efficiency increase of 15% compared to traditional CO2 systems. The system with ejector technology, designed by Frigo-Consulting, uses the energy that is released when CO2 is expanded to relieve the compressors. The ejector has no movable parts; its relatively simple integration is based on sardard components and, thereby, ensures a high operation safety and low investment cost. Overall, Frigo-Consulting’s system has registered savings of 60,000 kWh of electrical energy per year.
