Energy saving natural refrigerant projects

Embraco strives to provide innovative solutions for a better quality of life. The development of natural refrigerant-based technologies represents an important investment priority for the company. In March 2014, Embraco launched its new WISEMOTION, an oil-free refrigeration compressor for home appliances using R600a. It combines the concept of variable displacement with an oil-free solution and is designed using smart electronics, resulting in larger energy efficiency, with up to 20% reductions in energy consumption compared to most commercialised high efficiency compressors on the market. The WISEMOTION technology took ten years to develop and incorporates more than 80 patents.

Compressor recycling initiative

Embraco also boasts an innovative compressor recycling program in Brazil called Top Green. With this program, the raw materials of the compressor shells are recycled and proper disposal of the engine or remaining materials is provided. Since 2000, the program has seen the recycling of 1,350,000 units in Brazil alone. Top Green underscores environmental preservation and prevents materials from being launched into the environment without proper treatment.

With the new EU F-Gas regulations scheduled to come into effect two months before the conference kicks off, ATMOsphere Europe 2015 will provide updates on the legislation, focusing as well on what the legislation means in terms of implementation. In addition, the conference program will also cover applications including commercial, light commercial, industrial & transport refrigeration, heat pumps and air conditioning, and some new topics such as solutions for convenience stores, hotels, restaurants, cafes, hospitals, and more.
