Italian compressor manufacturer Dorin has been a sponsor of ATMOsphere Europe since its first edition in 2009 and will once again renew its support of the upcoming ATMOsphere America 2014 as a Silver Sponsor.

Founded in 1918 as a manufacturer of machine tools, Dorin branched out into refrigeration systems in 1932. The company has produced semi-hermetic compressors since 1957, which today are its core business with an impressive selection of 70 semi-hermetic compressors ranging from 0.4 to 150 HP.

About Dorin innovation

Dorin produces more than 70,000 compressors per year, offering the widest CO2 range available on the market. The company’s main commitment is to the production of quality products, offering efficient, robust, and reliable solutions for the commercial refrigeration market in both transcritical and subcritical applications.

Dorin entered the field of refrigeration in 1932 with its first open-drive compressor range. The first CO2 transcritical type was commissioned in 1999. Today, Dorin offers one of the widest CO2 compressors range available in the market.

Dorin offers a complete and diversified range of compressors for refrigeration and air conditioning systems, which includes more than 600 models of open type and semi-hermetic compressors and condensing units, also designed for use with hydrocarbons, ammonia and CO2. The company also offers two-stage compressors and a wide range of accessories.

Dorin’s CD-2S Series

The company’s CD-2S Series, which includes both the CD2S200 and CD2S400 ranges, covers semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors for CO2 transcritical applications, including 9 models applicable in 50 Hz and 60Hz with a max. standstill pressure of 100bar. These compressors are capable of working with extreme pressure ratios, allowing for the same functionality as standard CO2 low temperature equipment. The single compressor can apply the complete compression process within itself, significantly reducing investment costs of the final refrigeration system. Applications include heat pumps, commercial refrigeration (BT), commercial refrigeration (MT) and refrigerated transport.
