TripleAqua, a worldwide patented natural heat pump system using water and propaene as the refrigerant, is designed for heating and cooling of medium and large size buildings. This innovative and cutting-edge system will officially be launched at the upcoming ATMOsphere Europe 2015, which will take place on 16 & 17 March 2015 in Brussels, Belgium.

We are excited to welcome TripleAqua as a first-time Silver sponsor of ATMOsphere Europe 2015. Using pure water and the natural hydrocarbon refrigerant propæne 433A (a mix of R290 propane and R1270 propene), TripleAqua operates on a zero-carbon footprint and is excellently suitable for both new and refurbished buildings. Some of the technology’s highlights include its very efficient thermal transfer and the easiness of the system.

Main features and benefits of the TripleAqua system

TripleAqua is a three-pipe heat pump system for full heating and cooling of medium and large sized buildings. Using water and propæne hydrocarbon refrigerant with a charge of less than 5 kg, the system complies with the F-Gas Regulation and optimises thermal energy transfer. It is able to heat and cool even if demands are not simultaneous, storing the remaining energy inside the system for passive reuse at a later stage! In addition, TripleAqua can directly be connected to all common sources of thermal energy, ground storage and district heating systems.

TripleAqua combines the advantages of VRF fan coil systems and allows for significant reductions in construction costs of 25% and decreases in operation costs by at least 50% compared to traditional heat pumps.

TripleAqua receives first award for innovative product at The Clean Tech Business Day

On 9 December 2014, during the CleanTech Business Day held at the World Trade Centre in Rotterdam, TripleAqua was announced as a winner of the Climate-KIC Business Competition. KIC Innoenergy is a world-class alliance of top European players including more than 30 shareholders and over 100 partners, companies, research institutes and business schools. With several locations around Europe, the Benelux center specially coordinates topics on energy efficient building, aiming to reduce the environmental impact, stimulate innovations and high-technology entrepreneurship.

About ATMOsphere Europe 2015
16 & 17 March at the Crowne Plaza Le Palace Hotel in Brussels, Belgium

ATMOsphere Europe is back for its 6th edition, once again providing a forum for HVAC&R stakeholders to discuss the latest regulatory updates, market trends and technology developments in the field of natural refrigerants. The main topics to be covered include commercial, light commercial, industrial and transport refrigeration, heat pumps and air conditioning. Other applications such as convenience stores, hotels, restaurants, cafes, hospitals, etc. will also feature on the 2015 programme. In addition, special attention will be given to progress on the implementation of the new EU F-Gas regulations that entered into force on 01 January 2015 and what the regulation means for the industry.

Case study submissions

The ATMOsphere Review Board is seeking innovative technology case studies involving natural refrigerant technologies for presentation at the conference. The deadline for submitting a case study abstract has been extended until 15 January 2015. Information about submission guidelines can be found at www.ATMO.org/europe2015/casestudies.
