In addition, LU-VE is taking part along with other industry stakeholders in the Next Generation Heat Pump Technologies project as part of the 7^th framework programme, which is founded by the European Union and coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPVLV). This project aims to assess several issues related to the application of hydrocarbons and CO₂ in heat pumps at a commercial level.
