Yohanes Santoso - Introducing energy saving store with CO2 refrigeration

Yohanes Santoso, operation director of PT Midi Utama Indonesia, presented data on Alfamidi stores using CO2 refrigeration systems. He found that two stores in Jakarta produced 20% energy savings and a 15% increase in average sales. However, the challenge of high investment costs is yet to be tackled in Indonesia.

Shinichiro Uto - Becoming the world's best!

Haruko Kanamaru - AEON's activities to expand the installation of natural refrigerants

AEON’s Haruko Kanamaru presented the group’s efforts to expand the use of natural refrigerants. The AEON group, present in 13 countries with 300 companies, is committed to using CO2 in all its new stores, and to converting 3,500 existing refrigeration systems to natural solutions. It expects this to deliver 10% energy savings and to reduce CO2 emissions by 50%.
