TECHNOLOGY - FINANCE - POLICY: Natural Refrigerants Faster to Market. Atmosphere 2009 - the international conference on natural refrigerants to be held in the European capital Brussels on 19-20 October - will bring together industry experts, the finance community and policy makers to discuss CO2, ammonia and hydrocarbons. As a milestone on the way to Copenhagen discussions, the conference sums up the technical, political and economic challenges natural refrigerants are still facing worldwide. Atmosphere 2009 is supported by the EU-funded project NARECO2 – the first European project to share knowledge, develop an e-learning module and publish a comprehensive manual on the use of CO2.

1 October 2009 | Survey: Developing countries asked for inputOnly three weeks to go to Atmosphere 2009, the conference on natural refrigerants. To make the event a truly global one, the organisers have sent out a survey to National Experts and industry in developing countries to find out what are the major information needs regarding natural refrigerants. Questions will be forwarded to experts meeting in Brussels on 19-20 October.
11 September 2009 | CO2 MAC car available for test rides!The German Environment Agency (UBA) has agreed to come to Atmosphere 2009 in the world’s first vehicle equipped with a CO2 Mobile Air Conditioning that is used on a daily basis for government transport. Attendees can register for a free test ride to convince themselves that R744 is efficiently and reliably working to cool a car.
